1995 Thunderbird Code Reader

I bought a code reader to troubleshoot my cars systems. I bought the one for 1995 models (my year).....had a hard time finding the underhood connector. Then found it under the glove box. The pins are, I think, 16 on the connector, even though it looks like all the pin slots are not active. The code reader I bought on line does not match! It has four larger pins.

Can someone tell me the correct code reader to buy....I don't need another wrong one....
