I recently bought a 1984 and the fuel gauge is messed up. It says 1/4 tank and starts skipping beats and dies at a stop. I need to check the sending unit. do I have to drop the tank to get to it?
One site I went to said that it is accessable from the trunk but I pulled up the carpet and can't see an access panel.
