Will an AOD mate to the 351 engine?

Yes. If you are in the market Mustang 5.0 of F series have the larger OD servo and are the ones to seek after.

That depends on which 351 you have. The Windsor is a classic small block, like a 302. The Michigan series engines use the 385 series bell housing.

74 Harley clarified what I forgot. If your 351 is a Windsor then an AOD will match. I had a 78 Bird with a 400 that had the FMX trans behind it and I guess that was a rare combo, a 335 series engine with the small belhousing bolt pattern.. Man I wished I still had that bird...'
