Also, I would like to know some good places to jack up the car from the side and any other good solid spots.

Sounds like you need to get a service manual from ebay. You really want to trust your life with how random people on the internet recommend jacking the car up? Probably not!
 
all these cars have solid frame rails underneath the sides. That's where I've always jacked mine up from. Make sure you look under it and put it on the frame not under the floor panels or somewhere it will just push everything up into the car
