Hey guys I have some questions for my 69 thunderbird. The air cleaner on my car is missing some parts, but do I really need it? Or can I change it to an aftermarket one? I see a couple of hoses attached to it, but do I really need them anymore? Will it effect anything? If it helps its not the original carburetor either. It's a Holley 600cfm.

The OEM air cleaner draws fumes in to burn from the PCV valve. Also, it helps warm the intake air during cold starts via the exhaust manifold tube.
