My rear tail light directional flasher on my 66 Thunderbird needs to be replaced. Can someone please tell me where it is located?

BTW, just my opinion but I would replace it with an electronic unit.

Your 1966 Thunderbird does not have a traditional flasher, it uses a motorized unit, located in the trunk.
The original parts were wrapped up in a fiberglass pouch that hangs from the rear seat support on a rubber pad.

Are the indicator lights on the fender not flashing?
Check to make sure all the bulbs are working.
If so, then the under dash indicator relay may need to be replaced.
