Out of nowhere I lost all Electric power. No ignition light at all. Battery is good. Replaced solenoid. Replaced battery cables. Still nothing. Any ideas?
Furthermore, what is the I post on the solenoid used for. I read that it should delivers power to the ignition switch which in Return should deliver power to the S Post to activate the solenoid, but the I Post Shows no voltage.
And there is no power on the 30amp connectors mounted on the fender behind the batteries either, at least that’s what I think they are. Any help appreciated.

So when you replaced the solenoid, did you get the wires that power the electrical system on the correct side?
The way the I terminal works is when the solenoid is engaged it supplies direct power to the coil while cranking for starting.

Yes, I did. If I put direct poeer to the solenoid s post the starter is cranking, but . I’m getting no power to the inside at all.so ignition doesn’t work either.

There's a couple of smaller wires that should be on the battery cable side of the solenoid, one of them may contain a fusible link or go through a circuit breaker. Look there for your issues first, as that is where your cabin power comes from. I don't have any diagrams handy but I do recommend a shop manual if you don't have one.

My 64 has a solenoid behind the washer fluid bag that not in the manual until 65. Once in a while I will go to start the car and I get a click and then al power is lost. If I disconnect the battery and reconnect it then all is fine. It happens so infrequently that it's not worth investigating further. Perhaps yours is similar or the solenoid is bad.
