I read a post regarding removal a while back although very little detail and now I cannot find it anywhere.
Basically it said there was something on the middle of the skirt which permitted removal.
So, in the middle of the skirt arch there is a brown circular thingy. I've tried pushing it in, pulling it out, moving it up, down, left and right all to no avail. It does not move. Feeling, blindly I might add, behind the skirt there appears to be a rod of some sort with bends at each end. Again, nothing is movable. Help !! Please somebody tell me precisely how to get these off. Even using a mirror I cannot see anything only feel things.

The rod you are referring to is the actual lock that holds the fender skirt attached. If you pull it downwards you tighten the rod, if you push it upwards you loosen it. Push it slightly inwards and up and it should be loose. The end of the rod has a hook that attaches to the edge of the fender. Might need to give the skirt a little thump if it been on there a long time. Shouldn’t be too difficult ☺️
