1966 Defroster airflow isn't even

Hi I'm in the process of restoring a 1966 Tbird Conv with air and while I have the dash torn apart I'm going through all the HVAC controls. I noticed that the passenger side defroster air flow is about 1/2 the strength of the drivers side. Can someone tell me if this is normal ? If it is not normal I will have to take more apart to figure out why there is such a difference.

Hi Joeomarsh. Two things to check: 1) there are two vent hoses coming off the top of the heater box that go to the two defroster vents on the dashboard, perhaps the one for the passenger side defroster has become disconnected or obstructed. 2) the heater box has an internal flap door that that directs airflow either to the floor vent or to the defroster vents, perhaps this flap door is not operating correctly.

Thanks for your response ! I am asumning from your comment that both sides should have the same air flow. So I will dive into why there is a reduced flow on the passenger side. I have the dash apart enouugh to see the defroster hose I'm not sure there is enough room to remove it but I will try. The driver side has a very strong air flow. Thanks Again !
 
I would expect that the defroster air flows should be similar, but it would be good if someone with a '66 with A/C could comment?
