Having issues with the convertible flip top tray
When putting my top down and it comes to the sequence where the trunk lid goes up like it should then when flip lid tray is suppose to go up
My map lights come on,,And the flip lid motor doesnt get power,,,I put a test light on it and its the red wire on the map lights that is energized.
I then tested the wires in the back (trunk lid harness)and the power goes up to the limit switch by a gray wire but does not go to the flip lid motor to raise it
Does anyone know where the power is suppose to go from the gray wire to the flip lid
Are the map lights suppose to come on in this operation?
I just wanted to add I have an original flip lid limit switch and also a modernized limit switch with just 2 push switches engages when flip lid goes up and down (simple design)
It has the same issue with both limit switches
I tested the switch it operates as it should,,,,Its not the limit switches
I did try to run a jumper wire from the gray wire to the flip lid motor it did power it,, up but it seemed like there was to much power draw
Motor barely moved and the map lights went dim to almost no light.
The rest of the top operations work fine just the flip lid up posistion(no power to flip lid motor) has got me stumped
Any help on where to look would be appreciated
Thanks
