65 thunderbird steering colum shroud removal
Hi All,
Im giving my good mate here in Australia a hand with his 65 Thunderbird.
we are having trouble removing the indicator switch assy.
All the screws have been removed but there are no connectors on the wiring harness so we cant pull the switch assy out of the colum housing.
ultimatly we are trying to get the gear selector cover off so we can access the selection components because the selector is stuck in neutral.
a square bolt has fallen out of the bottom of the gear selector shroud so we are assuming this is the issue.
we have a workshop manual, im referencing 15-16, it suggests all we need to do is remove the screws and signal lever and it should come out but the soldered wiring does not have enough slack for the mechanism to be removed.
any assistance would be appreciated
thanks in advance from downunder.
