1965 Passenger side mirror installation

This is a new installation. Have correct new replacement passenger side mirror. Is there a specific mounting area that has added reinforcement inside of door. Or, Just screw down mounting bracket and attach mirror? I know that need to place in location that gives best visibility from Drivers seat.Thanks.

I recently installed one on my 64. I measured the drivers side and installed the passenger side using these dimensions. Drilled holes for mounting bracket. No reinforcement.

As suggested above, mounted new passenger exterior side rear view mirror using measurements from driver's side. Measured from shiny trim along wind wing, which is more stable than trim along bottom edge of large window opening. Be sure to use a flat head screw where short prong inside mirror body slides into mounting base "bulge" opening.
