Posting Cars Wanted/For Sale/Appraisal/Pricing/Research Discussion in Wrong Forum
Hello everyone! I apologize for posting right away and unannounced and un-introduced.

But I came across a Ford Thunderbird that spoke to me. It’s in a bit of rough shape. But seems like it runs and rolls. I absolutely don’t know anything about it. It’s black and convertible. Burgundy interior. 309 engine. Heavily bondo’d the owner admitted. But just looks like it’s been going in and out of the garage as far as movement.

I was medically released from the army. Wasn’t my plan. So I’m looking to get into restoring vehicles with my style. Preserving the era that was the 1960’s whilst making it functional.

In any case, any insight/suggestions/what to look out for would be appreciated. If I pull the trigger on this, it’ll be my first classic car. But I generally go mostly head first into anything and this car just has me glowing.

How is anyone supposed to know what your post is about when you title it "1965 Thunderbird"?

Title updated and post moved to cars for sale discussion.

Mike - I think if you could provide some pictures of the car you're considering then folks on the forum will provide you with a lot of feedback on what to look out for. And you should certainly hear it run and drive it before deciding. Depending on the condition, you can easily sink more money into one of these cars than you could ever sell it for. If it's a passion for you, maybe that's OK. If you want it to pencil out though, caution is advised. Doug

Welcome to our group! I’ll warn you. Thunderbirds are not easy to work on
