1965 HT AC vs 1966 HT AC Q Code

Hypothetical question here...would you take a `65 HT vinyl interior and factory AC with documented rebuilt engine & transmission 45k miles versus... 66` Q code 36k miles ? both rust free, `65 may need paint. Choice between a known mechanically (almost) perfect car vs unique Q code with very few issues. 4-5k difference in price. Nice problem to have !!! what are your opinions ?

Yes I would pick the Q code. It will be worth more in time. Paint for the 65 will washout the difference.
 
66 not because of the q code but to me its a nicer looking car.
 
I like the looks of the 65 over the 66 but needing paint is a hard pass for me.
 
I have driven both. The 66 Q code is a very powerful gas hog and the 65 is a powerful gas hog. The engine is the same except for the bore. I know of an FE engine that had 235K on it and the valve covers had never been off.
 
No question in my opinion. Take the 66, for all the reasons the other replies mentioned. You have to know every big bore of this era is going to be a gas hog.
