1965 Head light switch knob removal

Removing dash from my 65 and
can’t figure out how to remove knob from head light switch. I’ve seen some switches with buttons to push but can’t find access.

can’t figure out how to remove knob from head light switch. I’ve seen some switches with buttons to push but can’t find access.

Pull on the light knob, reach under the dash . There is a button to push on the light switch while pulling out on the light knob The knob and stem will pull out.

Thanks, it was easy once I found the button. Great having people available who know what they are doing. I’m 77 and this is my first Bird so it’s probably going to be my last project.
