So I got my tbird to run right when it's parked, but as soon as I put it in gear it bogs down when I shift into any gear.

Stalls and diesSo when you say "bogs down" does it stall and die or is it excessive loading of the engine?
Hosess and carburetor gaskets and intake manifold gaskets is a good start.Ok where would I look then?
Another thing, I believe you have a modulator valve on the transmission. Check and make sure it's hooked up.
If the diaphragm is cracked it will suck extra vacuum out of the manifold. Just notice if the RPM changes when pressing the brake would point to that.How does that tie in? Along with the brake booster?
Yup, and Ford loved vacuum actuated systems at the time. Time to trace and replace.Vacuum leaks.... Rotted hoses, bad diaphragms, loose connections, they all contribute to very poor running and/ or no power.
