hi there feathered friends,
replaced my front shocks and I am trying to get the new upper and top bushing installed,
but I can't get them over the little ring by the end of the chrome part of the shock, that ring is a bit wider
then the rest of the shock stem,
anybody any advice? I am thinking of grinding that little ring down,
thanks in advance, Didi

Don’t grind the little ring down! If you have all new/correct parts, it’s a tight fit, but it WILL work. Try a little white grease or oil on the shock shaft prior to assembly. It then takes some elbow grease, but it will work.
