I removed the truck lid and locking assembly, one to weather strip and the other because the lock assembly was leaking.
Fixed the lock assembly, but I put the trunk back on (it took awhile to align) the lid won't close enough to engage the lock.
Any suggestion on how to fix the problem?
Thanks
Scott Davis

use the 4 digit model year in your subject when posting. I revised. This aids with site searches & Google search.

Good afternoon Scott, there should be adjustment available either by loosening the latch and lowering it a little or loosening and raising the striker bar.

I've found there is no problem with slamming the trunk closed harder than before especially with new gaskets. Those panels are sturdy enough.
