1964 Thunderbird vacuum leak at steering column

I cannot locate the connection on the steering column after spending a lot of time with my head under there with a light and a mirror.

I attached the hose today, it was kind of an act of faith on the neutral safety switch end, as I did it blind as far as seeing the connection. Thanks for the good information here.
