Stumped where do I access bolts to.replace my Thunderbird center chrome piece? Trunk has backing plates to gather added from far right and left trunk area.

Remove the tail light lenses, then the backing plates/reflectors. There will be an electrical connection/plug just inside the body hole on each side. Then you will see the 4 bolts on each side that hold the bumper on. These bolts have “caged nuts” that often spin if car is rusty. If this happens, usually a short open end wrench/spanner will fit to hold the from spinning. There might be 2 additional smaller bolts on the bottom panel that also have to be removed. Pull the bumper off, and you will see the fasteners that hold the center bar/nameplate. I found that it’s cheaper to replace with reproduction parts than to re-chrome original.
