G’day all.
I recently purchased my 1964 Coupe and I have a difficult fault to locate.
When the car is coasting after light or moderate acceleration there is a whistling sound (sounds like sea gulls at the beach) which seems to be coming from the engine bay for 5-10 seconds then stops. Sometimes it starts again for a few seconds. I can’t emulate the noise at idle. I’ve checked the inlet manifold and can’t find any obvious leaks. Carburettor recently overhauled but noise was present before overhaul. Fan belts are new.
Anyone know where I should start looking?
Thanks in advance.
