Hi all!
I have been slowly going through and replacing all of my hoses. I’ve gotten to the Transmission vacuum line, and am wondering if anyone has a diagram of how the line from firewall to transmission is ran? And where to buy a new line?!
I look through shop manual and supplement, but can’t find anything.
I also noticed after replacing the hose from intake to that small hose from fire wall, that it seems to run rough? As if the vacuum is wrong?? Fairly certain I have the diaphragm in correctly as well.
Should vacuum be running TO or FROM the transmission??
Perhaps I have it clamped too tight and it’s sealed off.
Any help would be great!

We are still waiting to get our 62 project, but in 4994 does the small hose go to heater controls?
I am not 100% certain from tracing it myself, but I posted my question and the photos on another page, and was told that it is to the heater controls.

Here's a few photos of the correct routing of the metal transmission vacuum line. The open end is directly behind the left hand valve cover and connects to the smaller diameter nipple on the booster check valve with a short piece of rubber tubing, no clamps. There is also a short piece of rubber tubing at the vacuum modulator valve that is sometimes a source of vacuum leaks.

That hard line can be sourced from the Thunderbird vendors or from Inline tube or Classic Tube. IMG_6791.jpegIMG_6796.jpegIMG_6797.jpeg
