Hi, I‘ve got a 1963 T-Bird, which makes trouble after installing an edelbrock carb. The engine runs well with the new car, but the transmission does‘nt work as it should. When accelerating, the shifts up fine, when shifting down it makes a loud noise a moment before the car comes to stand. Somebody told me, that it may be necessary to change the linkage between the edelbrock carb and the transmission. Could this be?
