I was driving last weekend and noticed my temp gauge shoot up quite a bit and then drop back to normal range. It did it one more time before I got home. I thought maybe the thermostat was going bad so I replaced it. I did this and after replacement I noticed my temp gauge would get up to about 3/4 to hot. I used an infrared thermometer and was getting about 175 degrees off the thermostat housing but the gauge still showed higher than usual. I checked the resistance on the temp sensor when it was cold and It was about 200 ohms. I had read it was supposed to be about 700-1200. So, I replaced the temp sensor and now the gauge wont move at all. I have about 1200 ohms cold on the new sensor and it drops as the car heats up. The fuel gauge works fine and when I ground the lead to the sensor the gauge goes to full hot. I have 12 volts going into the CVR and about 5 volts coming out. Im not sure what is going on. If someone has any ideas I could use the advice.
