1963 Radio antenna plug in location, top or back?

Is the location for the radio antenna plug on the top of the radio or in the back. I had to replace the antenna on a 63 and didn't check the plug in location before removing it. I found what looks to be the plug on top of the radio, but that is unusual so I thought I would check with all of the Thunderbird minds.

I could not find an input for the antenna on the side, so I decided to go ahead and pull the radio out of the car. The input was indeed on the top as displayed in the picture of the original post. No plug-ins were on either side. With the radio out of the car, I was able to seat the antenna securely in the top hole. The radio still doesn't work. It plays only static but at least the antenna is not the issue.
