1963 Power steering screech

Power steering has rebuilt gear box. Steering seems to work well until wheel is turned completely then there is a loud screech and steering wheel pulsates in both full right or left turns. Tried tightening the PS belt still screeches.
Any ideas appreciated

Might want to try “bleeding” the system. You may have already done that, but sometimes it takes more than once. Lift the front wheels off the ground, start the engine, and turn the steering wheel left and right (completely, lock to lock) until your arms get tired.

Lucas makes a power steering with conditioner product that should take car of the screech and pulsing.
