I'm having a local shop replace my steering box and am getting together everything they will need. My insulator "doghnut" mounts are shot and I came across a set on ebay that are solid hardened steel. They are half the cost of stock replacements and I'm guessing won't be much different vibration wise than what is on there now as the rubber is basically liquid. Does anyone know if these steel replacements will be a good idea? Screenshot_20210225-094033_eBay.jpgScreenshot_20210225-094151_Google.jpg20210223_212840.jpg

On my 62 there seems to be no insulator / rubber mounts and haven't noticed any vibration so would say the solid would be fine.

Cool. Have been doing more research and basically finding out that the rubber doughnuts were a failed design and phased out quickly. Found a set for $79 out of Denver. Simple solution for a simple issue.Screenshot_20210226-103507_eBay.jpg
