Hello all, this may be a simple question I’m making into more than it is.
I’m replacing my vacuum advance on my distributor and the replacement is a hose type port, not a tube type like it currently has.
1. Is this okay, I just need to re route it? What fitting would be appropriate for reporting it in the carb?
2. Is it ported cerrectly into the carb? I’ve seen a few examples of where it is to be ported and all seem different.
3. Are any of those ports supposed to be capped??
4. What is the red wire coming out of the block, directly above the distributor?
Recently purchased the car and am slowly going through it, finding some happy changes and some mistakes so I want to be clear on it!
Thank you! James
