61 convertible power windows, will not lift all the way. Drivers side will travel full distance up or down. Passenger will travel down and almost all the way up but takes two tries (but always completes the up cycle when the door is open. The quarters will lift about 80% and require a gentle hand lift to assist.
I will assume the switches and wiring works so what parts am I replacing ?

I had the same issues with my 62, solution was to remove the door panels clean and lubricate the rollers and the tracks/ guides. No new parts were necessary, if you are lucky you might be able to get away with just squirting them with some WD 40 to loosen them up then when things are operating smoothly lube them up with some white lithium grease or similar.

Hi,
There could be a couple of things happening. But more sounds like they need adjustment rather than new parts. If the door window works with the door open it sounds like something is stopping it when the door is closed. Maby a little pressure somewhere. Probably near where it stops moving.
The quarters sound like the problem I had with my 63. I originally installed a new upper rubber seal. The windows worked fine before I installed the inner quarter trim panel. Then when the trim was installed it stoped around 80% up. After a while I investigated the problem and found that the trim pushed the rubber into the path of the quarter window frame, thus stopping it from moving up completely.
I hope this helps
Adrian
