1960 original carburetor has hesitation.

I have rebuilt the carb and replaced the accelerator pump. The manual says the check ball should have a spacer/ weight as well. I didnt find a spacer or weight as indicated in the manual and also not sure this is the issue. Any ideas?

When you open the throttle do you get two solid streams of fuel out of the squirters?
How about vacuum leaks?
Checked your timing lately?
 
the weight is vital it keeps the check ball sealed do that the car had fuel for a start days later BuT. i don’t think this is responsible for the hesitation you need to check the fluid level in the carb ( not just the float level)

Carburators are pretty difficult most of the time it doesent work or help. I have found a few times the needle jets at front bottom of carb were pitted not smooth I replaced them that fixed the hesitation.
 
I had this exact problem with my 59. I rebuilt my carb and it still hesitated. Not so much at first, but as the weeks went on it became almost constant. Opened up the carb again found tiny flecks of rust inside. It turned out to be dirt or rust in the carburetor. I replaced my gas tank and the fuel lines. Then I completely cleaned out the carburetor again and I have never had a hesitation since. I knew it might have been rust in the tank because my glass bowl gas filter was very dirty and I needed to change it at the start of each car show season. If all your carburetor diagnosis from the other suggestions don't produce a culprit, you might look here. Good luck.
