1960 Generator Rebuild

The Generator on the 1960 that I'm currently the steward of does not seem to be charging. I cleaned up all of the connections on the Generator and the Voltage Regulator (they were all fine), and checked all of the wires - no joy. I've watched my Multimeter, hooked up to the Battery, while I was bringing the RPMs up, and I didn't see any gain in voltage.

I'm assuming at this point it's a case of new Brushes in the Generator.

Is the Dennis Carpenter site a known-good site for such parts and materials? I'm also looking at their Power Steering Cylinder rebuild kit.

Replace it with a Delco, one wire alternator

@lcboyer , I definitely would consider such an upgrade if it were my car. It's certainly a great way to modernize this bird. The Powermaster Alternator 'look alikes' are also an option, but REALLY spendy!

But I'm really looking for advice on the Dennis Carpenter site, and the rebuild of a stock Generator.

Note: I am seeing some posts on making sure the Voltage Regulator is polarized. And some other checks before I start tearing in to replace brushes. I will do those checks and report back
