1957 Any tips on getting the last pieces off with out damage? Specifically the top piece and the outside bottom piece?

I can't say about the top but I have read that the bottom stays with the windshield when removing and installing.

Top piece is held on by clips if I remember correctly and should come off before glass removal. The bottom piece stays on for removal, must be installed in the rubber before install
