The tail light chromed trim sleeves on my car need to be rechromed. Is that even possible since they are plastic? Has anyone had this done or have you just purchased replacements? See picture below to illustrate the part I'm referring to. Thanks.

If you find a chrome shop, it can be done just identical to the water faucets chromed which are plastic inside.
The proces use acid to clean it, then a copper bath, and finally a chrome bath.
The metals are deposited with electrolysis.
Good luck

I had my 1956 plastic bezels chromed at VacuCoat Technologies 33575 Giftos Clinton Township MI 48035 (586 791-1117) Vacuum Metallized. Not cheap but looks better than new pieces.

Are you willing to share what it cost?
