The overdrive kick down switch is mounted under the gas pedal.

Yes thank you. I was asking about how it is oriented on the outside of the firewall. Does the attached bracket point to the passenger side of the car. I’m guessing to clip the wires in?

I had to have mine rebuilt because it was a mess. Here's what it originally looked like and then installed on the firewall. The fuse holder was broken off and the PO just wired it directly. I had Randy @ Midlife Harnesses rebuilt and repair it and it works great now. He replaced the fuse holder to look original.

Can I ask what battery do you have in the tray. I’m at that point now
Thanks

It's the correct 29NF. I found it at O'Reilly's. They were the only ones in my area to carry it.

It's interesting. Yes that is the go to battery in our birds but as the same as mine I see you have the battery box for the optional heavy duty group 32. Hard to find and if you do they want many $100s. Nice 'E Bird engine compartment. Not completely stock but nice presentation. Congrats!

No way am I going to pay what they want for the air cleaner. The PO sold the carbs and I got it with a Holley. I had to find all the E parts again and that was expensive enough. It's been completely re-wired, overdrive repaired, and a lot of other things the PO ignored.

Ah.. The joys of correcting the deeds others have done not understanding the significance of the original configuration and the price of correcting them. But you have a rare one and thanks for doing what you can to keep it close to it's origin.
Been there done that it's been a journey and I've had my car for over 45yrs and still finding things that have been messed with. But what fun to drive.

Mine is a driver. It actually a black car but they painted it red. Poor paint prep and it doesn't stick to the body. If I finish the resto, it'll go back black. It'll match my 64 mustang. It's one of the continuation cars, while the 58's weren't ready. Wouldn't the 16X be Oct. 16th?
