"1957 Tbird will only run when choke is on. Car sat for couple years. drained fuel tank-new fuel pump- had carb rebuilt. Any suggestions?" is not a valid subject/title for a post. Please use a brief summary of your post on future posts. I have revised it for you.

Was the fuel tank drained before being stored or recently before putting in fresh fuel? Why do I ask? If the tank sat with fuel in it and then was drained and refilled, then the remnant of the old fuel very well may have contaminated the new fuel. I watched a car that sat for 3 years with gas in it do that very thing after fresh gas was put in for starting. The residue in the tank curdled the fresh gas. Had to pull the tank to fix it.

Pretty difficult problem to solve over the Internet, my money is on the carb not functioning.
Rebuilt can mean different things to different people.
