1957 Is it a 2 speed transmission?

A 57 I'm looking has an automatic transmission. The floor shifter shows a P-R-N-D_L. Does this mean its a a two speed tranny? Is that a Ford-O-Matic. It's a 312 - 4 barrel model if that helps. Sorry I'm new!
