The driver side corner at the bottom left of the instrument panel is not connected to the dash. The pad feels stiff and difficult to push into place. Is there a way to make it more pliable? I've seen some videos where detailers use steam to clean and restore flexability to interior parts.

Looks like time to replace the dash pad. It will only get worse. No fixing that so live with it as is or replace it.

You can try a heat gun to warm and make the plastic more pliable. This may or may not work. If the plastic has hardened beyond a certain point, there is no return. Try it, if it does not work, you have lost nothing.

I'll try that. So the pad is made of plastic?
I have a new one on the shelf and I just looked at it and can't tell what it's made out of. It doesn't really look like plastic. I would be very careful in heating it with my concern being that the heat will make it shrink and it will look worse then when you started.
