I am having a heck of a problem trying to get old plug wires off my '57 Bird. The brackets by right bank are hung up on the crank case ventilator tube. I hate to cut the wires as might get wrong plug wire into new distributor cap. Anybody have similar experience and come up with a good solution. Thanks.

Use tape on both pieces with the number.

Attached is the ignition wire instruction sheet I received from CASCO when I purchased new ignition wires. I think these instructions will be helpful, because there are pictures of the areas you are having difficulty with.
