1957 Bumper

Hello All,

New guy to the site - was directed here from the Facebook page.

I've got a project '57 and my front bumper is pretty rough. I prefer the cleaner, simpler bumper of the '55-56 and I was wondering if I can put a '55-56 front bumper on my '57. If so, what do I need to change (bumper brackets, grille?, etc.) - I realize I'd lose the front parking lights, but I can address that differently if the earlier bumper itself is feasible.

I cannot offer much help. I would guess the brackets would be different. The only thing is I don't know if you would have any interference / fit problems with the body. In my opinion it looks like it could bolt right up using the earlier bumper and brackets.

55-56 grill And trim are different from 57 . get a straight 57 bumper ..... that's what make the 57 ! just my two cents .
