1957 after market door pull

Hi, has anyone fitted door pulls to their car? We had a door handle come off due to being worn, I have replaced it and the clip and it is all ok but I would like to have a better pull system.

I ordered these from my local ACE hardware, took panels off, carefully removed vinyl from armrest, cut hole, and put back together. They work pretty good for about $5 each.
