Oh and don't forget to take tons of pictures of your progress. You will have much more reference when putting it back together than wiring diagrams and shop manuals as they don't show how the wires were clipped to the fenders and routed, that way you can keep as close to original without guessing.

Any one doing electrical work on an early bird should get the Electrical Installation Manual for their respective year. Saves a lot of questions. I like to help people out, but it seems that the same people are asking questions that are easily answered via the manual. The manual not only shows colors, but in most cases how the wires are run. Better than just a schematic

Using the manual is how I was able to rewire my car by myself.
