Hey guys, just putting my steering column back in after re-wiring, and I just want to know if the chrome column (chrome) goes right up to the steering box, or if it is set back about 1-1 1/2" from the box?

Attached is a picture of where the chrome column attaches to the steering box on my 1955 Thunderbird. It looks like the chrome column goes right up to the steering box.
