How do I remove the speedometer dome on a 1956 thunderbird

I have a 57 if they are the same then you carefully pry the chrome ring off with a vary vary thin flat blade

To remove the speedometer dome on a 1955/56 Thunderbird, you will have to remove the speedometer assembly from the dash first. The dome is held in place by four nuts. After the nuts are removed the speedometer dome can be removed from the speedometer assembly.
