Question. I want to get a modern donut spare for the 56. Just to get me into a safe place or home without having to disassemble the continental Kit. Can someone guide me what exactly to buy that will fit. Any information will be greatly appreciated

For a 1956 Thunderbird, you need a donut spare tire with a 5 on 4.5-inch (or 5x4.5") bolt pattern. The 5x4.5-inch pattern is also known in metric measurements as 5x114.3mm.
Finding a compatible spare can be a bit challenging, but you have a few options:
