1956 soft top front centering pins don't fit

My soft top never had the front locating pins that centers it on the windshield frame. Purchased the pins that are threaded but top bow has hole for them but hole diameter is larger then pin and is not threaded. What am I missing here? This is the original soft top and not a reproduction. Holes are approximately .335" while pins have a 1/4 -28 thread on them.

Purchased the pins from where? Photos of the pins in question would probably help.

Did you contact the seller and ask them this question?

PS a good title will help you get more replies, when people see "soft top front centering pins" they probably think you want to buy some. I revised your title to summarize your post.
