1956 Original sales invoice - How to acquire ?

Good day, been following the forum. Interesting and appreciate the good natured discussion(s).
Apologies if this has been covered - I actually offhand don't see a search - could I be pointed
in to the direction necessary to get the original sales invoice for my 1956 ?

I'm told they rescued them back in the 70's when Ford was about to throw them out. They have stored them for a long time. I received a copy, not an original so I presume the copy them as they send the original for the next guy. Good planning.
 
just got my factory invoice and i`m looking for info on the exporter. Thomas R. Mc lenaghan Export .i would love tp know where this car was sent.

I believe I got mine from the National Thunderbird Club. You will need a scratching on paper of the serial number. It's located on the pass. side frame rail below the heater blower, plus a copy of the car title in your name. Plus 50.00. I don't remember who I contacted there.
 
To purchase an original factory invoice, you must a current club member.

Almost 60 years ago the American Road Thunderbird Club, saved as many of the original invoices as they could from being sent to Ford Motor Company’s shredder. As a result of their efforts, there are Thunderbird invoices for the 1955 models after serial number 232214 and substantially all of the 1956 and 1957 models available for club members to purchase. Since the serial number on my 1955 Thunderbird is 124206. the invoice was not saved from the Ford Motor Company’s shredder. Since your profile shows your Thunderbird year is 1955, your invoice was probably not saved from the Ford Motor Company’s shredder either.

When I bought my 56 the original invoice came with the car, Found in the glove compartment. I did go on line to trace exactly where the car was sold to the Dealership. The L B Motor CO in Lackawanna New Buffalo New York. This is the crown jewel.
