1956 OEM Radio Connections

I purchased a 1956 last year, and when disconnecting everything to remove the dash, I noticed the OEM Motorola model 69MS radio appears the have two power leads. But, only one was connected, the other was cut off and just capped. Does anyone know what the other wire is for?
The radio was working before I removed it.

I'm a retired EE I was able to find a schematic for your radio on the web!
This radio was very advanced in function for 1956.
The capped lead, I believe, is for attachment to the dashboard lights.

Thanks Doc, I thought that may have been for dash lights, but it always lights when turned on. I did noticed that when I removed the radio, it appeared as if someone had opened the case for something due to a couple missing screws. Maybe someone wired it internally to light all the time.
