Can anyone please tell me what the color of the dash is called. Is it turquoise?? I don't think it's Peacock. Looks like a 55 color in my 56. I'm trying to find a drop curtain this color. My old one is in bad shape. Please help if you can. Thanks

The color in the photo is of a '55, as are the design of the steering wheel and the black 'knobs' on the heater controls. Are you sure the car isn't a '55?

The title says 1956...

That's what I said in my question of color. I do not have that style steering wheel. Mine is a early 56. Title and serial # show 1956. Do you know the name of the color?

I do have wing windows. This picture was for colors only and not my car.
Also, it looks from the pic that the door window pillar doesn't have wind wings, again as a '55, versus '56.

If I'm reading between the lines correctly, it sounds like you're concerned that Ford's "turquoise" name doesn't seem to match the actual vinyl color you're seeing. That's understandable. The interior color that's shown in your example photo (I gather of someone else's car) would be a '55-only color that Ford listed under code "XC" for that model year . Ford's marketing may have called it 'turquoise' but the actual vinyl is much 'greener' than either a what people typically think of as turquoise or even the corresponding "Thunderbird Blue" exterior paint that was used in '55.

The 'green' interior vinyls were different in each of the three model years. Drop curtains in the original ford colors, organized by color corresponding to each of the model years, are shown in catalogs of all of the major Early Bird parts suppliers.
