We are mid-process on a full 1956 t-bird restoration and one of the (many) parts that needs replacement is the speedo face on the dash. Have seen some online but wasn't sure about the quality, so we designed and lasered our own. Was pretty excited about the results so thought I'd share them here. With the stock one in the picture as a comparison. We're swapping from generator to 12v alternator, hence the Alt replacing Gen along the bottom.

That is great! Just a couple of questions; did you have the capacity to do that in your own shop or found one that could? I watch Motor Trend and the restoration shops and have seen how they do that. Seattle Speedometer advertised dash restoration but lens replication is a Nitch but valuable.

thanks! we did it ourselves. we have an industrial laser in the shop and one of our very talented techs was able to create a CAD design with a very similar look to the original. the example in the picture is etched into somewhat thinner plastic than the original face, but would work just as well with thicker plastic.
