1956 Hard top difficult to latch

I recently purchased a beautiful '56 T-Bird. Whenever I remove the hard top and have to reinstall it, I find it extremely difficult to get all the latches secure without trying different sequences. In what order should the latches be secured? Do you start with the rear ones first, then the side latches, then the front ones, or is there a proper sequence to follow. I can always get all the latches secured, but I don't think it should be so hard. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

You have adjustments on each latch. I usually latch the front first but it shouldn't be that hard to latch any of them.

It's personal preference I first install the rear then the front then the sides.....

The rear should set down in the holes,when the front is latched. Everything has to be aligned with the latch areas before you can latch anything.
